COVID-19 Update - May 10, 2021

Christian Tours continues to be pro-active and concerned with the health/safety of our employee’s and passengers. With the availability to receive the vaccine, continual openings and updates across the United States we update our policies.

  • Our motorcoaches are equipped with 52 seats. As of June 1st, we are increasing the number of guests we allow on our tours to 40 people. Note that due to the layout of the motorcoach, we are unable to guarantee social distancing while on board the coach.
  • While on tour, our staff will sanitize the entryway handrails throughout the day. Each evening the arm rests, overhead bins, all handrails, bathroom handles/touchpoints will be disinfected. We will remind passengers of cleanliness habits. Our staff will have an alcohol based (80%) or Annihilyte-1 spray and will spray the solution on each passenger’s hands before entering the motorcoach. We also have hand sanitizer available for use upon entering and exiting the motorcoach.
  • We have paused seat rotation and will assign seats based on the order in which reservations are made. The assigned seats will be yours for the duration of the tour. Passengers who share a room will be seated together on the coach. We have also removed the travel pillows at each seat.
  • Before a tour departs our facility, it is detailed & sanitized utilizing an EPIX360T Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayer. The electrostatic sprayer lays down an even, uniform and wraparound layer of germ-killing disinfectant.
  • Onboard our coaches general airflow is filtered. Overhead vents for passengers are recycled air and the vents can be closed. Cabin air is replaced every 5 minutes with fresh air. In addition, when available our roof hatch fan enables fresh air to circulate immediately by removing hot or stale air through the roof.
  • Christian Tours does not require our passengers to have a Covid vaccination to travel. In the future there may be destinations (especially internationally or cruises) that a vaccination will be required. If so, we will advise you as soon as we are made aware of the requirement.
  • Most places we visit on our tours require you to wear a mask. While traveling on the motorcoach we ask and advise you to wear a mask.
  • While on tour, most attractions and restaurants require that the tour group sit together as one party and may not be able to guarantee social distancing between individual members of our group.
  • Our trip evaluation forms, catalog, motorcoach etiquette guidelines and safety video are available online by using QR codes (hands free and no distribution of paper/forms unless requested). QR codes will provide quick access to these items with any smart device. Paper copies are also available upon request.
  • If you have been sick, have been around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or have been quarantined/asked to isolate within 14 days prior to the tour's departure date, you will not be allowed to travel and need to cancel the tour, for the safety of all involved. Our final documents will remind customers about common courtesy and sickness.
  • If while on tour you develop symptoms of COVID-19, you will be removed from the tour immediately, and must have a negative COVID test in order to travel with the group.
  • We recommend all passengers purchase travel protection insurance. If you are unable to travel due to a covered reason, this insurance will reimburse you for any cancellation fees.
  • By traveling with Christian Tours, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID. While Christian Tours has taken preventative measures, the responsibility of your well-being is ultimately up to you. Please join us in keeping everyone traveling healthy and safe by practicing good hygiene and best-practice protocols.

COVID-19 Update - May 7, 2020

Christian Tours – Precautionary Measures for Traveling Again

While Christian Tours has always exceeded the sanitation standards recommended in the motorcoach industry, we have implemented some new procedures in response to the current state of the country:

  1. We have removed the travel pillows at each seat and have detailed & sanitized our coaches.
  2. To ensure the health and safety of our passengers, we have invested in some very exciting technology – for example the EPIX360T Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayer. This cordless electrostatic sprayer lays down an even, uniform and wraparound layer of germ-killing disinfectant! We are excited about this device, knowing it's already being used in hospitals and some major hotel chains.
  3. Our drivers and tour directors will be trained in cleanliness "best practices". They will have an extensive cleaning checklist and will be reminding passengers of cleanliness habits. Our service staff takes great pride in cleaning and maintaining the Christian Tours motorcoaches, and we applaud them for their hard work!

We will make a statement in the passengers final documents:

  1. Reminding customers about common courtesy and IF they have been sick or feel sick within the 14 days prior to the departure, to stay at home.
  2. We are also recommending passengers purchase travel protection insurance so if they are unable to travel due to a sickness (and seen my a medical doctor) they will be covered.

While traveling on the motorcoach:

  1. The tour director will have an alcohol based spray and will spray the solution on each passengers hands before entering the motorcoach. We will also have hand sanitizer available upon entering and exiting the motorcoach.
