AMELIA ISLAND • DINNER:

Come join us as we travel to Florida's northeastern-most shore, Amelia Island. We arrive at Amelia Island Fernandina Beach, our home for the next three nights. Our hotel is just a short walking distance to the beautiful beach. Tonight we get better acquainted as we enjoy dinner together. (D)

This morning is yours to explore and enjoy some of Amelia Island's 13 miles of Appalachian quartz sand beaches. If beaches are not your thing, we'll take you on a mini shopping excursion. This afternoon you have time to explore Old Town Fernandina on your own. This area, with many shops and restaurants, is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Next, we'll board a cruise departing from Fernandina's historic waterfront enjoying breathtaking views of wild horses on Cumberland Island, Georgia. Some sights we may see are salt marshes, wilderness beaches, dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, egrets, herons, spoonbills, along with shrimp boats and luxury yachts. We end our day with a historic trolley tour of downtown Fernandina Beach.

FERNANDINA BEACH MARKET PLACE • FORT CLINCH • FREE BEACH TIME • DINNER:

Our first stop this morning is at the Fernandina Beach Market Place. Mingle with local farmers and entrepreneurs and wander through a dizzying selection of fruits & vegetables including organic & specialty products. Our next stop is Fort Clinch, a masterpiece of design & function. This afternoon is yours at leisure. Spend time shopping in Old Town Fernandina or enjoy the afternoon at the beach & hotel, the choice is yours! Dinner is included at a local restaurant. (D)

This morning you may want to sleep late or take a walk on the beach. We return home arriving early in the evening.
