This tour includes some of Savannah’s best and most unique foods. We check into our downtown hotel accommodations in Savannah for a two-night stay. This evening we’ll enjoy some good home cooking served at Shell House Restaurant, known for their seafood. (D)

We’ll take a trolley tour of Savannah, seeing the major attractions such as the Juliette Gordon Lowe House, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Cotton Exchange and historic Riverfront. Lunch is a treat today at one of Savannah’s popular restaurants. Later we’ll stop at the Savannah Candy Kitchen, for over 30 years the place to experience and taste down home southern sweetness. Our next treat will include Leopold’s award winning, homemade ice cream. We’re not finished with the sweets yet as we visit the Byrd Cookie Company, a Savannah tradition since 1924. An evening of fabulous entertainment is awaiting us at the Historic Savannah Theater. (L)

Today includes a tour of Saint Helena Island highlighting the Gullah culture, made up of Africans, Europeans & Native Americans. Saint Helena is considered the center of this “Gullah culture” and language. After our tour we travel a short distance to enjoy a “fish camp” lunch, before traveling home. (L)
