Day 1
QUEBEC CITY, CANADA • GUIDED
TOUR:
Today, we fly from Charlotte
Douglas International Airport to Québec
City, Canada.. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy
a guided city tour before checking in
to our hotel for the night, just outside
of the walled city. This evening, you’ll
have time to explore Old Québec, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site known
for its historic charm, iconic architecture,
and walkable streets. The city lies on
the Saint Lawrence River and is divided
by steep bluffs into Upper Town, which
includes the old quarter, and Lower
Town. Perched atop Cap-Diamant, the
old quarter is the only walled city in
North America.
Day 2
QUEBEC CITY, CANADA •
NORWEGIAN JEWEL:
This morning,
take advantage of your free time to
further discover the charm and history
of Old Québec. Early afternoon we
transfer to the Norwegian Jewel, to
board the ship and our home for the
next 10- nights.
Day 3
SAGUENAY (LA BAIE), QUÉBEC:
The city of Saguenay, established
in 2002, is made up of three boroughs:
La Baie, Chicoutimi, and Jonquière.
Located north of Québec City, this
French-speaking region is considered
a small oasis nestled within the vast,
uninhabited Canadian wilderness. Today,
you may choose to discover the unique
character of the land and its people by
visiting several distinctive museums
focused on the Saguenay Fjord and the
area’s pulp mill history. Alternatively,
gain insight into the province’s early
days by exploring detailed re-creations
of 17th-century settlements that reflect
Québec’s colonial past. For those who
prefer a more relaxed experience, join an
easy walk-through Saguenay National
Park and enjoy the serene natural
beauty and peaceful atmosphere at
your own pace.
Day 4
AT SEA:
Spend the day at sea
exploring the Jewel and its many
onboard amenities, including over a
dozen dining options. Whether you
prefer relaxing by the pool or indulging
in a soothing spa treatment, staying
active with outdoor games, wandering
through the art gallery, there’s something
for everyone. Enjoy live musical
performances, join in on interactive
game shows, or simply unwind and
take in the breathtaking ocean views.
Day 5
CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE
EDWARD ISLAND:
In Charlottetown,
choose among many optional
excursions offered including a scenic
island drive or a tour of Cavendish where
the famous Green Gables Heritage
Place is located. You may choose to visit
the Anne of Green Gables homestead,
walk the historic heart of Charlottetown,
stroll the boardwalk, or enjoy a
delicious seafood meal or a sweet treat.
Day 6
SYDNEY • CAPE BRETON ISLAND,
NOVA SCOTIA:
Located on Cape
Breton Island, Sydney is an ideal location
for scenic adventures. Today, optional
excursions offer walking tours, live
music, museums, and historic sites. You
may choose an excursion to the 18th
century Fortress of Louisbourg National
Historic Site, the largest fortified city
outside of Europe, as costumed actors
reenact this life during this era.
Day 7
HALIFAX:
Today, admire the rugged
coastline that surrounds Halifax,
home to the world’s second-largest
natural harbor and renowned for its vast,
deep port. This beautifully preserved
capital of Nova Scotia, founded in 1749,
offers a rich blend of history and
maritime charm. Consider a visit to the
Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to
delve into Halifax’s storied seafaring
past; or make your way to the 18thcentury
Citadel National Historic Site,
where you’ll find sweeping city views
and the iconic Old Town Clock—one
of Halifax’s most cherished landmarks.
Another option is visiting Peggy’s Cove,
a quintessential East Coast experience
and home to one of the most photographed
lighthouses in the region.
Day 8
BAR HARBOR, MAINE:
This coastal
attraction has retained much of its
charm since its glory days of the 1900s,
when America’s elite vacationed here
in opulent summer cottages. You may
choose to take a stroll along the idyllic
streets of Bar Harbor or tour Maine’s
dramatic coastline at Acadia National
Park, famous for its beautiful landscapes
and beaches. You may choose
a tour including a scenic drive to the
top of Cadillac Mountain and enjoy
free time at the summit to take in the
panoramic views.
Day 9
PORTLAND, MAINE:
Portland
offers all the amenities of a big
city—art districts, a vibrant waterfront,
museums, scenic parks, and diverse
shopping opportunities. Yet just minutes
away, you can take in sweeping coastal
views from a historic lighthouse or
savor a fresh, locally caught lobster.
Consider a panoramic driving tour for a
wonderful overview of the city, followed
by free time to shop and explore the
charming coastal village of Kennebunkport.
You might also choose to join
the Portland Culinary Walking Tour
to sample local flavors or hop aboard
a restored 1950s-era railway car for
a scenic ride through the stunning
White Mountains.
Day 10
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS:
Boston offers the perfect blend
of history and modern flair—stroll from
the cruise port to iconic sites, lively
markets, and classic New England flavors
all in one unforgettable stop. You may
choose to discover Boston’s most
iconic sites riding an Old Towne Trolly
or motorcoach, floating along the
Charles River on a Boston Duck tour,
or walking the historic Freedom Trail,
pausing at many of the most pivotal
sites in the American Revolution.
Day 11
AT SEA:
Unwind and relax aboard
the ship, breathing in the crisp
northern air as you take a break from
touring to enjoy a variety of onboard
activities. Later this evening, savor
a delicious meal at one of the many
restaurants and enjoy live entertainment
to end the day on a high note.
Day 12
PHILADELPHIA • HOME:
This
morning, we disembark the
Norwegian Jewel with fond memories
of our journey. Early afternoon, we
catch our flight home.
