Today we fly to New York City for a fascinating and exciting visit to the “City That Never Sleeps.” Our accommodations are in the heart of Times Square at the magnificent Marriott Marquis Hotel—no other city has quite the atmosphere or energy of the Big Apple! Upon arrival, we’ll be met at the airport and transferred by our deluxe Prevost motorcoach into Manhattan. Our first stop will be the Empire State Building, where we’ll ride to the 86th-floor observatory for breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline. Afterwards, we check into our rooms at the Marriott Marquis. Later this afternoon, our Tour Director will lead a walking tour around the Times Square area to help you get acquainted with your surroundings. This evening is yours to explore the city at your own pace.

This morning we are joined by a local guide for a comprehensive city tour of New York. See the famous west side of Central Park, home to many celebrities and TV personalities, and travel down world-famous Fifth Avenue, passing landmarks such as The Plaza Hotel, FAO Schwarz, Saks Fifth Avenue, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. We’ll also see Rockefeller Center, the Financial District, Wall Street, and the Commodities Exchange, before returning to the Midtown area. Enjoy lunch on your own and a free afternoon to explore more of the city—perhaps visit a museum, browse the shops, or take a carriage ride through Central Park. This evening we gather for an included dinner followed by the highlight of the night—an exciting Broadway performance! (D)

Our sightseeing begins early as we take a ferry ride to Liberty Island to visit the Statue of Liberty, America’s most beloved symbol of freedom. Continue to Ellis Island, where more than 14 million immigrants arrived in search of the American dream. Explore the Immigration Museum, filled with powerful stories and exhibits. Lunch is included today in Little Italy, where you can enjoy classic New York flavors. Afterward, we visit the 9/11 Memorial to honor those lost and the heroes of that day. At the 9/11 Museum, we’ll see authentic artifacts that tell the story of tragedy, courage, and resilience. You have the option this evening to attend another Broadway show (Show name announced 30 days prior to departure). Approximate cost: $160–$195 per person. (L)

For the early risers, consider being part of the live audience at one of New York’s famous morning TV shows! Your morning is free for shopping or exploring just a bit more of the city. Mid-afternoon, we’ll transfer to the airport for our flight home. As we say farewell to the excitement of New York, we’ll have our memories of the iconic skyline, dazzling lights, and endless excitement.
