Today we are transported on our Christian Tours motorcoach to Charlotte Douglas International Airport for our flight Jackson WY where we begin our explorations through the Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Late this afternoon we check into our hotel for two nights.

Today is a great day to explore and enjoy the beautiful western town of Jackson, WY. There is so much to do here! Stroll the western boardwalk to shop and have a meal on your own, relax or take an optional excursion. An optional Snake River Scenic Float Trip will be offered by your tour director (extra cost). After an amazing day in this beautiful town, we gather this evening for a delicious dinner. (D)

This morning we’ll visit the Grand Teton National Park and see the Chapel of the Transfiguration. You’ll be inspired by the distinctive snow-covered peaks of the Tetons that line our path as we travel. Joined by a local guide, we explore the Lower Loop of Yellowstone National Park. We may glimpse a bear, wolf or other wildlife but be prepared for even more! Yellowstone’s lower half is a collection of scenic features like “Old Faithful”, the park’s best-known attraction. Have your cameras ready for other sights too! Geysers, hot springs and the magnificent Yellowstone Lake can also be found in the lower half of the park. We arrive in West Yellowstone and check into our fabulous hotel for a two nights’ stay.

Enjoy breakfast this morning before we depart for another day in Yellowstone National Park. Today we explore the Upper Loop, taking in amazing sights like the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River which expresses the park’s complex geologic history in dramatic colors and shapes. Puffs of steam mark hydrothermal features in the canyon’s walls. Observe the amazing landscape and wildlife of the Tower-Roosevelt area and enjoy our ride around the vibrant travertine terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs. We return to our hotel to relax and enjoy our surroundings.

After breakfast at the hotel we travel just north of Helena to the Gates of the Mountains. Lunch is included in before we board a leisurely and picturesque boat tour on the Missouri River. Gliding through magnificent country viewing towering walls of limestone, we look for bighorn sheep, mountain goats, osprey, and eagles as we travel through this timeless beauty. We journey on to Browning MT for our overnight stay. (L)

Glacier National Park offers a million acres of the most spectacular scenery to be seen, and is considered a Crown of the Continent. The U-shaped valleys and high peaks were carved by vast glaciers that covered this area during the last Ice Age. We are passengers on one of Glacier National Park’s special touring vehicles for a spectacular tour along the “Going to the Sun” highway, one of the most breath-taking roadways in the world. It traverses the park from east to west, crossing the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. This area is a veritable fairyland of snow frosted peaks and sparkling ice caps. We arrive in Kalispell our final evening. Enjoy time with you fellow travelers as we enjoy dinner together. (D)

Saying goodbye to Montana, we travel to the Kalispell Airport for our flight home, reflecting on this amazing trip, sharing stories and photos, and planning our next great adventure.
