Iceland Adventure during the Solar Eclipse
(New Tour!)

Day 1

FLIGHT TO ICELAND:

We meet our tour director and transfer by motorcoach to the airport for our overnight flight to Reykjavík, Iceland, where a world of dramatic landscapes and unforgettable experiences awaits. We explore rugged lava fields, steaming hot springs, and pristine wilderness, all framed by colorful cityscapes. During our adventure, we marvel at a rare solar eclipse as it transforms Iceland’s otherworldly scenery into a once-in-alifetime spectacle.
Day 2

REYKJAVIK • CITY TOUR • SKY LAGOON:

Upon arrival, we begin our tour of Reykjavík, exploring top attractions including Parliament, the National Museum (exterior only), Höfði House, Laugardalslaug Swimming Pool, the Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum, The Pearl, and Hallgrímskirkja. Next, we soar above Iceland’s dramatic landscapes with FlyOver Iceland, where wind, mist, and scents bring volcanoes, glaciers, and waterfalls vividly to life. Before takeoff, we enjoy two immersive pre-flight shows—the Longhouse and the Well of Time— that bring Viking history and Icelandic legends to life. As the perfect finale to our day, we relax at Sky Lagoon, where we relax in geothermal waters while gazing out at the North Atlantic, before checking into our Reykjavík hotel.
Day 3

SOUTH SHORE • WATERFALLS • LAVA SHOW:

After breakfast, we journey along Iceland’s stunning South Shore. On our tour, we travel east along Iceland’s south shore and visit two magnificent waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss a tall thin beauty of 63 meters which you can walk behind and Skogafoss, a 60-meter roaring giant that you can approach, as close as you dare. We continue to Reynisfjara’s black-sand beach, framed by dramatic basalt columns, sea caves, and towering sea stacks—legend holds they are trolls turned to stone. At Dyrhólaey, we look for puffins nesting on the cliffs before reaching the village of Vík í Mýrdal, with its famous sea stacks. Here, we experience the thrilling Icelandic Lava Show, where molten lava is poured over ice in a recreation of a volcanic eruption. In the late afternoon, we travel to Selfoss to check into our hotel for the next two nights. Dinner is included this evening. (B, D)
Day 4

GEOTHERMAL PLANT • LAVA TUNNEL • HORSE BACK RIDING (OPTION) • SOLAR ECLIPSE:

This morning we visit Hellisheiði Geothermal Plant, one of the world’s largest geothermal facilities, to see how the natural forces of the Hengill volcanic ridge are transformed into sustainable electricity, heat, and water. In the afternoon, the adventure continues, allowing you to explore a Lava Tunnel, where illuminated footbridges reveal the dramatic underground world shaped by ancient eruptions. You have an option to choose an Icelandic Horse Back Riding Tour, along stunning coastal landscapes, an experience suitable for all skill levels. (Option Cost: $49.00) We return to Reykjavík to witness the awe-inspiring total solar eclipse—a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event— before ending the day. (B, L)
Day 5

GOLDEN CIRCLE • KEFLAVIK:

This morning, we discover Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle! Thingvellir National Park, is a remarkable historical and geological site, located by Lake Thingvllavatn, the largest lake in Iceland. The beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the earth’s tectonic plates, and this is the site of the world’s oldest parliament, dating back to 930. Marvel at Gullfoss waterfall, where icy waters thunder into a deep canyon, and experience the geothermal wonders of the Geysir area, home to bubbling hot springs and the erupting Strokkur geyser, shooting up to 25–30 meters. We visit Geysir, the geothermal area where bubbling hot springs and geysers are abundant, and where you’ll also see Strokkur, the most active geyser in the area, spouting up to 25-30 meter. In the late afternoon we arrive in Keflavic for the night. (B)
Day 6

REYKJANES PENINSULA • BLUE LAGOON • HOME:

This morning, we journey across the Reykjanes Peninsula, where craters, lava cliffs, fissures, and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge shape a surreal volcanic landscape. We stroll through the colorful Gunnuhver geothermal area with its bubbling mud pools and steaming vents before unwinding at the world-famous Blue Lagoon. After lunch, before soaking in the mineral-rich waters. We must now transfer to Keflavík International Airport for our flight home—ending our unforgettable journey with memories of Iceland’s dramatic scenery, geothermal wonders, and extraordinary natural beauty.
