This tour includes some of Savannah’s best and most unique foods. We check into our hotel located in the historic district of Savannah for a two-night stay. This evening we’ll have a welcome dinner together. (D)

We’ll take a trolley tour of Savannah, seeing the major attractions such as the Juliette Gordon Lowe House, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Cotton Exchange and historic Riverfront. Lunch is a treat today at one of Savannah’s popular restaurants. Later we’ll stop at the Savannah Candy Kitchen, for over 30 years the place to experience and taste down home southern sweetness. Our next treat will include Leopold’s award winning, homemade ice cream. We’re not finished with the sweets yet as we visit the Byrd Cookie Company, a Savannah tradition since 1924. An evening of fabulous entertainment is awaiting us at the Historic Savannah Theater. (L)

Today includes a tour of Saint Helena Island highlighting the Gullah culture, made up of Africans, Europeans & Native Americans. Saint Helena is considered the center of this “Gullah culture” and language. After our tour we travel a short distance to enjoy lunch, before traveling home. (L)
