We travel along I-40 through Greensboro and up into the scenic foothills of Virginia. By afternoon, we arrive in the charming town of Lynchburg, nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’ll check into our hotel and have a little time to freshen up before an exciting evening ahead. Dinner is included before the show at a local restaurant. Then it’s time for the highlight of our trip — the Virgina Christmas Spectacular at Thomas Road Baptist Church. This dazzling holiday production is filled with music, dance and heartwarming stories. This festive show features hundreds of performers, stunning costumes, and breathtaking sets that bring the true spirit of Christmas to life. After the concert, we’ll return to the hotel for a restful night’s sleep. (D)

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll start the day with a visit to the Lynchburg Community Market, one of the oldest continuously operating farmers markets in the country. This bustling market is filled with local flavor — from fresh produce and handmade crafts to baked goods and specialty foods. Next, we’ll take a guided tour of Liberty University, one of the largest Christian universities in the world. Lunch is on your own today. This afternoon we travel back in time with a visit to Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest, the third president’s personal retreat and architectural masterpiece. You’ll enjoy a guided tour of the home and grounds. This National Historic Landmark offers a fascinating glimpse into early American life and one of the country’s most influential minds. Now it’s time to begin our journey back home — with memories of beautiful scenery, joyful music, inspiring sights, and great fellowship with friends.
